THESE HERITAGE TOURS EXPLORE PASIG RIVER, LRT-1, AND MALATE

(SPOT.ph) Suppose you want a deeper, more meaningful understanding of Manila's history beyond its visuals. In that case, going on a heritage tour is a great way to know more about a certain place's past, present, and plans for its future. So those who want to explore and get to know Manila's rich history, sign up for one (or all!) of Renacimiento Manila's four heritage tours focusing on Pasig River, LRT-1, and Malate this April.

Check out these heritage tours exploring Pasig River, LRT-1 train routes, and Malate:

Renacimiento Manila will have four heritage walks scheduled for the latter part of April. There are two walking routes to explore the Pasig River. There's the Pasig River Heritage Appreciation Walk (P450/head)on April 21, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This goes through different stops, the first is at Plaza Roma, followed by Plaza Mexico, Riverside Drive, Pasig River Esplanade, Jones Bridge, Plaza Yuchengco, Calle Escolta, Plaza Goiti, Santa Cruz Bridge, Plaza Lawton, and the last stop is at Calle Arroceros.

Escolta-Santa Ana Pasig River Tour (P500/head) is scheduled on April 20, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The itinerary for this tour includes Calle Escolta, Plaza Moraga, Jones Bridge, Pasig River Ferry Ride, Plaza Calderon, Santa Ana Church, and Plaza Hugo as the last stop.

Another unique tour Renacimiento Manila has for this month is the LRT-1 Heritage Transit Tour (P600/head) which takes you through the different stations of the train line. Scheduled on April 21 and 28, both from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., this takes you to Central Terminal Station, Vito Cruz Station, Calle Vito Cruz, Carriedo Station, Santa Cruz Church, Calle Escolta, United Nations Station, and then Plaza Salamanca.

The fourth heritage walk and the first run of its kind is the Malate Heritage Walk (P500/person) which is scheduled on April 27, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This walk's route takes you through Taft Avenue, Calle Vito Cruz, Roxas Boulevard, Plaza Sulayman, and Malate Church.

Aside from 50 to 100+ more photos in your phone's gallery and newfound knowledge of Manila, participants also go home with souvenirs. Participants of the Pasig RIver Heritage Appreciation Walk get stickers, Escolta-Santa Ana Pasig River Tour participants get a map and sticker, and LRT-1 Heritage Transit Tour participants get a map and a Beep card.
